Had a delightful date with
plumtreeblossom, although it had a kind of stressy start because we were both running late and hit a bunch of minor disappointments at the movie theater. We watched Slumdog Millionaire, and it was wonderful! I love stories told in flashbacks like that. One of the minor disappointments is that the theater was much much more crowded than we expected, and we ended up having to sit in the very front row in order to find two seats together. But we loved the movie and had a great time.
Then we had dinner at Acapulco’s in Quincy Center (and shared a margarita — their “El Presidente” margarita en honor de nuestro nuevo Presidente. This morning we splurged for Firefly’s¹ yummy Sunday brunch buffet, which includes lots of barbecued meat as well as the standard breakfast fare. Then we took a little trip to the pet store to get cat food and pet grass before I drove her back home.
Oh, did I mention the glorious sleeping late both days part? It was glorious. I want to sleep till noon every day. I wonder if you can make a living by being a professional subject of sleep research. I’d be good at that.
¹ I don’t know how to write that. The noun I’m making possessive is Firefly’s, so I can’t just tack on ’s. “Fireflys’”? “Firefly’s’”? “Firefly’s’s”? Just “Firefly’s”?
