Saturday sunniness

I have been exceedingly remiss about posting lately. Those of you who suffer through my long postings are probably grateful.
Had a nice day so far today. Met
treacle_well for brunch at Sound Bites (which I have
mizarchivist to thank for introducing me to, and which has very good food). Then we enjoyed the sun and the warmth (and the slush :-) by taking a walk, wandering through a little park near Powderhouse Circle and around the neighbourhood. The park is where the actual powderhouse stands, and I wanted to take a picture of it, but I discovered I’d left my nifty new little USB-key-cum-digital-camera plugged into the computer at home. (The userpic for this entry was taken with that camera. [Edit: Not any more; I retired that userpic.]) We mostly talked about books and reading, and the company and the sunshine made for a very nice day.
Then I went shopping, so that by now when I’ve gotten home, it’s too late to get done much of the cleaning and organizing I’d hoped to get done today, but I suppose it will still be there tomorrow. C’est la vie, Gracie.

Date: 2004-03-20 17:56 (UTC)When I was going to NU we always said, "if you can see the Pru you're almost home." It was the lie we told ourselves when we had a god awful long walk and the T had already shut down or we couldn't afford the fare. Now I want a slice from that place across the street from the Y that's been there forever with the same red/orange plastic tables. :)

Date: 2004-03-21 00:39 (UTC)I think it's Cappy's or Cappy's II. I don't know if Moby Dick was around then or not. I was pretty much a pizza and burgers person in those days.

1French toast, not Freedom toast. Vive la France! Liberté, égalité, fraternité! Aux armes, citoyens! Take that, Donald Rumsfeld!
