Hi. aq.org appears to be off the net at the moment, probably consequent to problems our ISP had earlier today in New York City. I’m hoping all I need to do is power-cycle the DSL modem, but until I can get home and do that (which will be later today, probably close to 11:00pm), mail to any aq.org addresses (or other addresses hosted on my machine) will be delayed. If you need to contact me before then, call me.

I sure hope it’s as simple as power-cycling the DSL modem, because I’m leaving for New York City early tomorrow morning. :-/


[EDIT: I’m on the phone with Speakeasy now; evidently the problem in NYC wasn’t fixed for all customers (which they discovered when I called them), and they’re still working on it. My understanding is that they know what they need to do to fix it, and it’s just a matter of getting a physical human at their center in NYC to flip the right switches, but as I type they don’t yet have an ETA.]
